Samantha Ruth Prabhu: Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently shooting for her upcoming Hindi series Citadel with Varun Dhawan. It seems the actor injured herself on the sets of the action packed television drama. According to sources, Samanta’s  character is heavy on action and the actor is undergoing training for the same.

On her Instagram stories, she shared a picture of her wounded hands from the sets of Citadel and wrote, "perks of action". She's currently shooting for Citadel with Varun Dhawan.

Her hands show wounds and blood stains. According to our sources, Samantha will be performing some high-octane action sequences in the web series and the makers have roped in a Hollywood action director for martial arts training.

A few days ago, Samantha had also shared a video of practising action sequences with stunt performer and action director Yannick Ben. In the video, the actor nailed punches as she preps for the action shoot in Nainital in eight-degree celsius. She also shared a pic of horse riding a few days ago, as well.

All about Citadel

Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the International series which is originally created by the director duo, Russo Brothers. The Indian spin-off is helmed by Raj and DK.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci are headlining the global version of the series.

On Monday, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared the first glimpse of web series Citadel. She captioned the photos, "First look at @citadelonprime." Samantha took to the comments section and wrote, “Yassss."

Samanth's upcoming films

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is waiting for the release of her highly anticipated mythological film Shaakuntalam. The film was scheduled to be released this month, on February 17 but got postponed. She will also play the female lead in Shiva Nirvana's romantic entertainer, Kushi. Vijay Deverakonda is the lead actor in the film.
