Diljit Dosanjh Expected To Be Replaced By Ammy virk In Border 2

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh has firmly dismissed rumours suggesting his removal from the upcoming war film Border 2. In a behind-the-scenes video shared on social media, Dosanjh appeared on the film’s set in full costume, indicating that he remains part of the cast despite ongoing controversy surrounding his latest release Sardaar Ji 3.

Clarifies His Position with Video

The video features Diljit stepping out of his vanity van dressed in military attire, walking confidently towards a set prepared for choreography. The visual confirmation comes amid heavy speculation that he had been dropped from the project due to backlash related to Sardaar Ji 3, which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.

Backlash and Industry Reactions

Following the release of Sardaar Ji 3, there was public and industry criticism over the involvement of Pakistani talent, particularly given the current tense atmosphere between the two countries. Several voices demanded that Diljit be replaced in Border 2, a film with patriotic themes. However, these demands appear to have been dismissed, and Diljit’s continued shooting for the film indicates that the production is moving forward with him in the lead.

Film Associations' Role

Earlier reports had indicated that a major film workers’ federation had objected to Diljit’s casting, but the objection was later withdrawn. The actor has now resumed work on Border 2 with no official statement about any changes in casting, thereby putting exit rumours to rest.

Upcoming Release

Border 2, a sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border, features a multi-star cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is slated for release on January 23, 2026.

As tensions subside and shooting progresses, the focus is likely to shift back to the film’s storyline and performances, rather than off-screen controversies.
