Ashneer Grover’s reality show Rise and Fall is creating quite a buzz online. The show features popular actors and internet personalities sharing candid stories. Among them is YouTuber Dhanashree Verma. She has been very open about her personal life, especially her marriage to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Recently, she spoke about how their relationship began and the challenges she faced.
Dhanashree Verma Recalls Changes In Yuzi’s Behaviour
During a chat with actor Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree recalled how quickly she got married. She said, “It was love and arranged both. It started off as an arranged marriage. Basically, he wanted to get married without dating, and I wasn’t even planning for anything like that. I got convinced due to the amount of love that was poured into the whole process. We did our Roka (engagement) in August, and then we got married in December.”
She explained that spending time together made her notice small changes in Chahal’s behaviour. “There is a difference between how people act when they want something compared to when they get it. Even though I saw him changing, I put my trust into him and the relationship. My problem is that I love giving too many chances to the people around me. But eventually, I got done with it. I tried to do everything I could from my side and give my hundred per cent. I’ll always be concerned for him; that much I can guarantee.”
Dhanashree Recently Revealed About Yuzvendra Chahal ‘Cheating’
Earlier, Dhanashree told co-contestant Kubbra Sait when she realised her marriage was beyond saving. She said, “First year. Caught him in the second month.” However, Chahal has denied any wrongdoing.
On Raj Shamani’s podcast, he said, “After the divorce happened, it occurred to me that people think I’m a cheater. And I have never cheated in my life. I am not that person. You won’t find someone more loyal than me. I always think from my heart for my loved ones.”
Dhanashree also addressed the trolling and the alimony discussion after their split. “It has been almost a year (since the divorce). It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining to those who don’t even know you?”
For the unversed, Dhanashree and Chahal were married in December 2020. They announced their divorce in February 2025.
Dhanashree Verma Reacts To Samay Raina Roasting Her
Comedian Samay Raina recently grabbed attention for allegedly mocking Dhanashree and even wore a “sugar daddy” t-shirt (referencing the scenario Yurvendra Chahar created during their divorce). Dhanashree Verma responded subtly on Instagram, sharing a dog photo with captions hinting she’s doing well and reacting to the joke.

She wrote, “Don’t worry Guys, meri mumma ka acha samay hi chal rha hai.” She also added a lemon-chilli GIF, which said “Buri nazar wale tera muh kala.”
Netizens are impressed with her savage response and feel that Samay Raina got a befitting reply. Samay is a stand-up comedian known for the IGL controversy, and roasting isn’t something new for him.
