Don 3: ‘Dissatisfied’ Vikrant Massey Exits Ranveer Singh Starrer, THIS Romantic Hero To Now Play The Villain In Farhan Akhtar’s Film?

Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 is hitting yet another casting roadblock. After Kiara Advani’s exit from the project, actor Vikrant Massey has now also stepped away. Massey was reportedly signed on to play the villain opposite Ranveer Singh, but sources reveal he wasn’t fully satisfied with how his role was shaping up.

As per a latest report by Bollywood Hungama, Massey’s character was that of a smooth-talking conman with major action scenes. But the actor apparently felt the role lacked emotional depth and creative substance. After Massey dropped out, the makers are once again left in a tough spot.

Vikrant Massey Out: Makers Hunt For New Villain In Don 3

Following Vikrant’s decision to leave, the hunt for his replacement is now on. As per reports, Vijay Deverakonda and Aashiqui 2 actor Aditya Roy Kapur are being considered for the antagonist role. Sources say initial talks have happened, but there’s no official confirmation yet. Interestingly, an earlier update from Gulte mentioned that Vijay had already turned down the offer once.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani’s exit from the film (reportedly due to her pregnancy) has also led to the search for a new female lead. The buzz is that Kriti Sanon might step in, but again, nothing has been finalised.

With both leads stepping away, Don 3’s production has been pushed back. It was initially expected to go on floors in January 2026. But with casting still in flux, delays seem inevitable.

Vikrant And Ranveer Singh’s Work Front?

While he’s out of Don 3, Vikrant Massey is currently seen in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which also stars debutante Shanaya Kapoor. Unfortunately, the film has failed to draw audiences and has flopped at the box office.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh continues to grab attention. His first look from Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film Dhurandhar recently dropped online and has fans buzzing with excitement.

As for Don 3, the project remains one of Bollywood’s most anticipated sequels. But with major casting changes and uncertain timelines, it would be interesting to see who finally joins the heist thriller alongside Ranveer Singh.
