Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju-starrer Dude trailer is out, giving audiences a glimpse of a fun and emotional coming-of-age love story. Produced by the makers of Pushpa 2, the trailer has already grabbed attention online with its mix of humour, chaos, and heartfelt moments ahead of the Diwali release.
What’s In Dude Trailer?
In Dude, Pradeep plays Agan, a carefree event organiser who plans surprise parties for clients. His life takes a turn when he starts developing feelings for Kural (his uncle’s daughter) played by Mamitha. What begins as a simple connection soon becomes a journey of emotions, insecurities and heartbreak.
The trailer shows Agan being called a “good-for-nothing” by his father, played by Sarathkumar. Despite this, Kural chooses to help him as her assistant. She encourages him to make small changes (like switching from cigarettes to chocolates) and pushes him to be better. But just when Agan falls in love, Kural tells him, “The concept of love won’t work out between us.”
As the story unfolds, Agan faces heartbreak and challenges. The trailer gives glimpses of funny, emotional and dramatic moments. A surprise cameo by Neha Shetty adds twist. It ends with Kural asking, “Devadas sir, why did you do all this?” and Agan replying with a wistful smile.

About The Film
Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers (the production banner behind Pushpa 2), the film features music by debut composer Sai Abhyankkar. Alongside Pradeep and Mamitha, the cast includes Sarathkumar, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, Hridhu Haroon and Dravid Selvam.
Keerthiswaran, who makes his directorial debut, shared that he originally imagined Rajinikanth in the lead role. He said, “When I began writing the story, I imagined how Rajinikanth sir would have played this role if he were 30 years old. I wrote it keeping that image in mind. Pradeep fit the character perfectly, and he instantly liked the story.”
He added that the film is more than just a love story. “The story is not just about love. There’s also a mass element, which audiences will understand when they watch the film. Having my debut film release for Diwali truly feels like a dream come true.”
Dude will release in theatres on October 17.
