Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s latest romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has surprised everyone with its strong box office performance. It saw a boost over the weekend, collecting Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 7 crore on Sunday, thanks to positive word of mouth. Early estimates for Monday added another Rs 3.35 crore, bringing the total to Rs 44.85 crore in just seven days.
Despite having fewer screens than Thamma, the Harshvardhan Rane-Sonam Bajwa starrer managed to pull consistent crowds, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The film’s emotional storyline and passionate tone have connected with audiences who love intense love dramas.
Interestingly, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Harshvardhan’s earlier cult hit Sanam Teri Kasam, which made Rs 42.28 crore in India after its re-release.
