The box office battle between Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Thamma is turning into one of the most interesting post-Diwali runs this year. Both films are holding well and showing impressive staying power, even with competition from re-releases and big names. While Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic thriller continues to grow steadily, Ayushmann Khurrana’s vampire drama maintains its pace too.

Milap Zaveri’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has turned into a pleasant surprise at the box office. Despite limited expectations before release, the film has now crossed Rs 50 crore and is comfortably in profit. On Day 11, early estimates from Sacnilk suggest that it earned around Rs 2.50 crore, bringing its total to approximately Rs 57.65 crore in India.
The film recorded around 12.63% Hindi occupancy on Friday, October 31, 2025, which is strong for a second Friday. With no major new releases this weekend, the film is expected to see higher footfall on Saturday and Sunday. It now sets its eyes on surpassing the lifetime collection of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, which stands at Rs 61.25 crore. Considering the momentum, this milestone looks within reach.

Interestingly, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to perform even with SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali The Epic re-release and a limited theatrical comeback of seven Shah Rukh Khan films. That says a lot about its audience connect and steady word of mouth.
Thamma Box Office Collection Day 11
Thamma also remains strong at the box office. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has earned over Rs 110 crore since its Diwali release on October 21. On Day 11, it collected around Rs 3 crore, taking its total to Rs 111.40 crore.
With this, Thamma has now surpassed the lifetime domestic earnings of Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which closed at Rs 110.1 crore nett. The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal in key roles.

While Thamma has crossed a major benchmark, it still trails Stree, the first film from Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe. So that remains the bigger milestone to chase.
Although The Taj Story arrived this week, it has not impacted the business of either film. The bigger challenge may come soon, with Yami Gautam’s Haq set to arrive next. Following that, Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2 will enter cinemas, adding fresh competition.
For now, both Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat still have room to grow. If the weekend numbers hold, they could extend their strong run before the next wave of releases hits theatres.
