Among these accolades is the coveted Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award, conferred upon her in 1989 in recognition of her exceptional contributions and achievements. She was not only celebrated for her on-screen presence, but also acknowledged as a skilled anchor, receiving the best anchor person award four times during her tenure at Doordarshan.

Her role as a consultant at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and her stint as Head of Major Donors at World Wide Fund, India, highlight her broad-ranging abilities.
