MTV is bringing back its popular dating reality show with a brand-new season. Splitsvilla X6 is all set to premiere on January 9, 2026. This time, the makers promise bigger drama and tougher choices. The season is titled Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, and fans can expect emotions, conflicts and surprises from the very first episode.
This is the 16th season of Splitsvilla. Over the years, the show has become a favourite among young viewers. It is known for romance, fights and mind games. However, this season changes the rules completely. Contestants will now have to choose between love and money. And that decision will shape their entire journey.
Splitsvilla X6 Pyaar Ya Paisa Brings Love Vs Money Twist
The biggest talking point of Splitsvilla X6 is its new theme, “Pyaar Vs Paisa.” For the first time, the show makes this choice a part of the game. Contestants must decide what matters more to them. Is it emotional bonding or financial gain?
Every task will test these choices. Every alliance will feel risky. Love will come with doubts. Money will come with consequences.
The makers have also introduced a dual-villa concept. Contestants will be split between two villas. One is the Pyaar Villa. This space focuses on love, connection and trust. The other is the Paisa Villa. Here, strategy, power and rewards take priority. Each villa represents a different mindset, and switching sides will not be easy, as it may even break relationships.
This idea takes inspiration from Splitsvilla X5. Last season, contestant Kashish Kapoor chose Rs 10 lakh instead of supporting her partner Digvijay’s chance to reach the finale. That moment sparked a massive debate online. Now, the show has turned that dilemma into the main theme.
Sunny Leone And Karan Kundrra Return As Hosts
Sunny Leone is back as the face of Splitsvilla. She will continue hosting the show and will lead the Pyaar Villa this season. Sunny has been closely associated with the franchise and remains a strong presence.
Joining her is Karan Kundrra as co-host. He brings years of reality TV experience and understands the game well. Together, they will guide contestants through emotional and tough moments.
The Paisa Villa will be handled by Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed. They enter the show as the official “Mischief Makers.” Their role is simple. They will create twists, tempt contestants and disturb equations with an aim to push players towards money over love.

Splitsvilla X6 Contestants, Schedule And Streaming Details
This season will feature 32 contestants. The full list has not been revealed yet. However, promos suggest a mix of new faces and social media influencers. There is also buzz about surprise appearances by popular reality stars, including Elvish Yadav.
Splitsvilla X6 will air three times a week. Episodes will release every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 PM on MTV India. The show will also stream on JioHotstar. Reports suggest longer episodes this season, with around 40 minutes of drama and unseen moments.
