As the 2024 election came to an end, a new generation of celebrities who had transitioned into politicians triumphed by using their notoriety to win over votes. These five actors—from Tollywood's Pawan Kalyan to Bollywood's fiery Kangana Ranaut and Bhojpuri icon Ravi Kishan—have adeptly made the move from the big screen to politics, demonstrating that their charisma and fan base can be just as powerful there as they are in show business.
Kangana Ranaut
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut contested in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from the Bharatiya Janata Party. She contested in the elections from the Mandi Lok Sabha Seat which is her hometown as well. The actress faced a lot of difficulties in the elections and she was fighting against Vikramaditya Singh who is the son of former CM of Himachal Pradesh. The actress started her political career with a massive win.
Ravi Kishan
The election battle of Gorakhpur was between Ravi Kishan, Samajwadi Party’s Kajal Nishad, and Bahujan Samaj Party’s Javed Ashraf. He was already a Member of Parliament from the Gorakhpur seat. He got 5,85,834 votes and he won the elections with a margin of more than 1 lakh votes.
Arun Govil
Arun Govil is famous for his role in the famous Ramayana TV serial. The actor left a huge mark on the audience and they consider him as Lord Ram. He contested in the Lok Sabha Elections from the Meerut, Uttar Pradesh seat. The actor won the elections with a low margin of 10 thousand votes. He contested from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Chirag Paswan
Amidst the electoral frenzy, Congressman Chirag Kumar Paswan of the Lok Janshakti Party is making headlines these days. On Sunday, Chirag Kumar Paswan was sworn in as a cabinet minister. He was an actor before he entered the political arena. With a record number of votes, Chirag won the seat in Hajipur, and his party took home all of the seats in Bihar.
Pawan Kalyan
There's talk regarding the Andhra Pradesh assembly election results together with the Lok Sabha election results in 2024. In the Andhra Pradesh assembly constituency of Pithapuram, Jana Sena Party founder and superstar Pawan Kalyan defeated Vanga Geeta Vishwanatham of the YSRCP to win his maiden election. While his party performed admirably and won every seat in the Lok Sabha, he did not run for office personally.
