Khesari’s actual work was to milk other people’s buffaloes and sell their milk door to door. He used to save 10 rupees at the time by blending water into milk. He frequently spent these ten rupees to purchase Jalebis. In addition to this, Khesari had repeatedly taken mustard from the fields.

Khesari Lal Yadav’s Entry into Bhojpuri Cinema

Khesari is very fit, due to which he got a job in the army as well. However, his mind was engaged in acting, due to which he left the army job. After this, he sold litti-chokha in Delhi to survive. Later released his first album by raising money. Khesari’s first album was a flop, but his dominance in Bhojpuri cinema gradually increased. His first film was ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, which turned his fortunes around. After this, he showed his acting prowess in films like ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’, ‘Litti Chokha’, ‘Naagin’, ‘Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye’ etc. In today’s date, Khesari Lal is the owner of property worth crores. He charges Rs 40-50 lakh for a film. At the same time, the fee for stage shows is Rs 10 to 15 lakhs.
