‘Gadar 2‘ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel released nationwide on August 11 and has been breaking box office records ever since. The sequel of 2001 superhit film ‘Gadar’ has left behind all the films in terms of earning. Although there was a slight drop in the collections this week, the Anil Sharma directorial venture earned Rs 12.5 crore on Saturday (August 26), taking the film’s total domestic collection to Rs 438.70 crore on its 16th day. With this, the film has overtaken South’s superstar Yash’s blockbuster film KGF 2 (Rs 435 crore) to become the third highest-grossing Hindi film.

Gadar 2 is on fire at the box office and is doing great collections in the third week as well. The film has earned a total of Rs 438.70 crore in India in 16 days, making it the third highest-grossing Hindi film. Sunny Deol’s blockbuster film is now only behind Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’ which earned Rs 543 crores nett and Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs 511 crores nett in Hindi language. As per trade reports ‘Gadar 2’ may enter Rs 500 crore club in its fourth week though Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2‘ and SRK’s upcoming film ‘Jawan’ which releases on September 7, 2023 may become a hindrance.

Sunny Deol’s film earned 40 crores on its opening day and created a storm at the box office by collecting Rs 55 crores on Independence Day.
