Former Bigg Boss contestant and Bollywood actress Gauahar Khan on Monday was booked by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for allgedly going out to shoot for a film depsite knowing that she has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to a statement from Oshiwara Police, the actress had tested positive for the novel virus and was asked to quarantine herself by the BMC.
Soon after lodging the FIR, the BMC tweeted, “No Compromise On City’s Safety! BMC has filed an FIR against a Bollywood actor for non-compliance to COVID19 guidelines on testing positive. The rules apply to all alike and we urge citizens to follow all guidelines and help the city beat the virus.”
Gauahar Khan had been through a rough patch lately. She recently lost her father whom she was keeping company at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Mumbai is currently facing a second wave of infections with Maharashtra back to being the top contributor of daily cases.
