Park Bo Gum has wowed fans all over again, and it’s not just because of his on-screen charisma this time. The Reply 1988 star gave a sweet shoutout to his Indian supporters during a press interaction while promoting his new Prime Video drama Good Boy.

Park Bo Gum Says ‘Dhanyavaad’ To Indian Fans

The K-drama star, known for hits like Love in the Moonlight, Encounter, and When Life Gives You Tangerines, surprised everyone with a warm Hindi thank-you. As reported by PTI, he said, “To my Indian friends, dhanyavaad. Is that right? Thank you for your support and love. I really want to go to India. I don’t know when, but if I have a chance to go to India, I really want to meet and greet you all. I hope so. So thank you a lot. Dhanyavaad.”

Actor On His Character In Good Boy K-Drama

In Good Boy, Bo Gum plays Yoon Dong Ju, a former boxing gold medalist who signs up for a special police task force. The series follows a group of ex-national athletes who trade medals for badges to fight crime and corruption. It's a mix of action, comedy, and intense drama. Most importantly, it is a fresh genre for the actor.

He shared with the Indian Express, “This was a challenge I took on for myself. I had never done an action comedy and crime investigation genre before.” He also revealed how his character has layers beyond the tough exterior. Park Bo Gum added, “Yoon Dong Ju may seem like a simple bulldozer who only uses his fists, but inside, has a strong sense of justice.”

Quoting Muhammad Ali, the actor described his role with the iconic line, “Impossible is nothing.”

Bo Gum stars alongside Kim So Hyun and Lee Sang Yi in Good Boy, which centres on a unique special task unit made up of retired athletes. The show explores how they take on criminals with the same discipline and spirit they once brought to the sports arena.
