Today is his birthday. Mahesh Babu was born on 9 August 1975 in Chennai to the famous actor-producer-director Siva Rama Krishna Ghattamaneni of South Industry. He started his career as a child artist. Mahesh Babu acted in the film ‘Needa’ at the age of four. But he started his career as an actor with the film ‘Rajkumarudu’. Through this film, he made his debut in Tollywood.
Mahesh Babu’s childhood was spent with his maternal grandmother in Madras. He graduated in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. After graduation, Mahesh Babu met director L Satyanand for acting training and his training lasted for three to four months.
Interestingly, they do not know how to read and write Telugu. He memorizes his dialogues and then speaks. For his acting, he has won eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare South Awards, four South Indian International Movie Awards, three Cinema Awards and one IIFA Utsav Award.

Mahesh Babu magical love story with wife Namrata Shirodkar
Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu got married on February 10, 2005. The two first met on the sets of the film Vamsi. They welcomed son Gautham in 2006 and daughter Sitara in 2012. Mahesh Babu and Namrata became very good friends in the very first meeting itself.
They kept their relationship hidden till the end of the film shoot. Mahesh Babu and Namrata dated for five years before deciding upon their marriage.
