Harrdy Sandhu: There have been several Punjabi singers who have delighted the Indian audience, one of them is Harrdy Sandhu. With Songs like Naah, Kya Baat Ay and Backbone, Harrdy created a space in Indians' hearts. However, a recent incident in Chandigarh disheartened not only Harrdy's fans but the artist himself. During the soundcheck of Harrdy Sandhu's performance in Chandigarh, the singer was detained by the police. Was it an illegal detention? Let's take a look.
Harrdy Sandhu Experience a Hard Moment in Chandigarh
Set to perform at a Chandigarh Fashion Event, Harrdy Sandhu was preparing for the show in Sector 34. During the soundcheck, the police interrupted the Kya Baat Ay singer's show and detained him for performing illegally. Reportedly, the sector 34 administration has previously decided that the concert and huge performances will not take place in that area of Chandigarh. However, the organisers of the fashion show were granted permission for 1 Lakh rupees. Initially, when police interrupted the performance they asked for official permission for the show and later took Harrdy Sandhu to the police station. As per TOI reports, after the organisers showed the permissions then the Naah singer got released. Ultimately, Harrdy did not sing at the event and returned to Mumbai.
As per reports, Harrdy Sandhu is thinking of taking action for his illegal detention by reaching out to authorities.
Harrdy Sandhu is Not The First Diljit Dosanjh and AP Dhillon have tried Before
This kind of incident happened before Diljit Dosanjh during his DIL-LUMINATI tour. The political parties and officials tried to not allow the concerts in Sector 34. The reasons were noise pollution, traffic problems and more. For Diljit, officials decided a limit for noise levels which eventually exceeded. Talking about another Punjabi singer AP Dhillon, his show was shifted from sector 34 to sector 25 of Chandigarh. Therefore, one can think that it has become common in Chandigarh and was not just for Harrdy Sandhu.
