Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, has been accused of hurting the feelings of the Hindu community in a complaint filed with the Delhi High Court. The argument makes the claim that the movie made fun of the Hindu epic "Ramayana." Vishnu Gupta, the national president of the Hindu Sena, filed the lawsuit. The PIL claims that because the movie mocks the Ramayana, Lord Rama, and our tradition, it has wounded the feelings of the Hindu community.
Complaint Calls for Removal or Alteration of Offensive Sequences in Adipurush
The complaint asks for instructions on how to get rid of or change the offensive sequences involving the Hindu deities Ram, Ravana, Sita, and Hanuman. It asserts that the movie's representation of these deities is inappropriate and inaccurate. "The depiction of characters is contrary to the description of Hindu religious characters, as described in the Ramayana, authored by Maharishi Valmiki, and in the Ramcharitmanas, authored by Saint Tulsidas," the argument claims.

Criticism Over Lord Ravana's Appearance and Characterization in Adipurush
Adipurush features Lord Ravana, played by actor Saif Ali Khan. The character's beard has also drawn criticism for the plea. It claims that because he is seen making a "ghastly" grimace, the portrayal has offended Hindu sensibilities. "Hindu Brahmin Ravana is shown making a ghastly face in the wrong manner, which is an absolute insult to Hindu civilisation," the complaint claimed. Additionally, it claims that the movie's depictions of Ravana are a complete fabrication of the truth.
