Hombale Films Forms It’s Own ‘MCU’ With Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, To Bring 7 Animated Films In 12 Years - Details Inside!

Hombale Films has launched the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. It will be a 12-year animated film series based on the avatars of Lord Vishnu. The first film titled Mahavatar Narsimha hits theatres on July 25.

Hombale Films (the makers of KGF and Kantara) are stepping into Indian mythology. The studio has teamed up with Kleem Productions to launch the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, an animated film series based on the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. The first film, Mahavatar Narsimha, will release in theatres on July 25, 2025, in 3D and five Indian languages.

The ambitious plan includes seven films over 12 years, ending with Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 in 2037. The idea is to mix mythological storytelling with animation, visual effects and a modern cinematic feel.

The first film will be directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai and Chaitanya Desai under Kleem Productions. Hombale Films is presenting the project.

Hombale Expands Mahavatar Universe Beyond Films

The Mahavatar Cinematic Universe is more than just movies. Hombale and Kleem plan to take the story across multiple platforms. They will also launch comics, graphic novels, video games, digital content, and collectibles based on the same world.

The goal is to bring these mythological stories to all age groups in a fresh, modern format. Through this long-term project, Hombale aims to build a universe that brings ancient Indian stories to life for today’s audience.
