There are just a few weeks left for War 2 to hit theatres, and fans were expecting joint promotions by Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. But Yash Raj Films has taken a different route. Both stars will promote the film solo.

There’s no bad blood here, though. And it can’t be the reason as Hrithik had praised Jr NTR in his recent foreign tour. Insiders say the move is a planned strategy, not a result of any conflict.

Why Hrithik And Jr NTR Won’t Promote War 2 Together

According to media reports, insiders reveal that YRF wants fans to see Hrithik and NTR’s first face-off directly in the film, not at a press event. A senior trade source shared,  “Hrithik & NTR will be promoting War 2 separately, and all plans have been made keeping in mind that they would never share the stage together, never be in any promotional video together pre-release and never be seen with each other.”

The makers want to keep the rivalry alive and intense. The source added, “Hrithik and NTR coming together is a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic moment in Indian cinema, and there will be a bloody carnage on the big screen. YRF is clear that the audience should first experience this rivalry before they see the two promote with camaraderie.”

This isn’t a new thing for YRF projects. During Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan and the cast gave no interviews, but the film still became a blockbuster. War 2 is clearly getting the same low-key, high-impact promotion.

War 2 Release Date, Cast And Spy Universe Connect

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 continues the spy thriller saga that began with the 2019 hit War. Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir, while Jr NTR plays his powerful on-screen rival. Kiara Advani joins as the female lead.

The film is a part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Each chapter has pushed boundaries, and War 2 promises even bigger action and global stakes.

War 2 is set to release in cinemas with IMAX screens on August 14, just ahead of Independence Day. So don’t expect to see Hrithik and NTR smiling together on posters or interviews, as the real fireworks will be saved for the big screen.
