She claimed that Govinda is stuck in his career due to his unwillingness to change with time. She also revealed that she doesn’t manage his work anymore.
Sunita Ahuja And Kids Are Dying For Govinda’s Comeback
In a recent interview with Zoom, Sunita discussed the reasons for Govinda’s long break and why she is no longer managing his career. According to her, despite many offers, Govinda has turned them down. This includes potential opportunities in the rapidly growing OTT space.
Sunita pointed out that she often reminds Govinda of his legendary status. She recalled telling him, “You were a star of the 90s, and today\’s generation still dances to your songs.” She expressed how much she and their children miss seeing him on the screen. Sunita also mentioned how actors like Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff continue to work despite their age, and asked why Govinda isn’t doing the same.
According to Sunita Ahuja, one of the main issues is the company Govinda keeps. She feels he surrounds himself with people who are not helpful. These friends simply agree with whatever he says and never offer any guidance. Even though Govinda helps them financially, they don’t show him the right path.
Govinda Is Still Stuck In The 90s
Sunita Ahuja pointed out that Govinda has trouble accepting the changes in the industry and remains stuck in the 1990s, a time when most of his films were massive hits. She feels that the style of those films no longer works today. She expressed her frustration, saying that it’s sad to see such a legendary actor not embracing the changes. Sunita believes that if he wants to continue in the industry, he needs to take on better roles and work with the right filmmakers, as his career is lacking in this area.
She also shared that she stopped managing his career because he stopped listening to her advice. Sunita mentioned that she had suggested to Govinda to consider working in the growing OTT space, where she saw potential. Despite her urging, he refused and insisted that he only wanted to do films for the big screen. Sunita also revealed that she no longer handles his work and added that she told him, “38 years tereko jhel liya par tu sunta toh hai nahi. Ab jinki bhi sun raha hai usme bhi karke dekhle kya kar sakta hai.”
