The incident took place early in the morning at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. Lanez was reportedly stabbed 14 times. The attack left him with multiple injuries, including seven wounds to his back, four to his torso, two to the back of his head, and one to his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a ventilator. Thankfully, Lanez is now breathing on his own.

Authorities are investigating the incident. The prison’s investigative team, along with the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, is looking into what happened and who might be responsible for the attack. At this time, the motive remains unclear.

Tory Lanez Was in Prison After Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Lanez has been behind bars since his conviction in December 2022. He was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020 after a heated argument. Megan testified in court, saying that after an argument, Lanez shot at her feet, forcing her to dance as she tried to flee.

Megan has since expressed her feelings about the violence. She stated that the experience made her feel powerless. She also spoke out about how survivors of violence, especially those without resources, can feel neglected by the justice system.

Lanez maintains his innocence despite his conviction. His legal team sought a new trial, claiming that evidence in the original trial was wrongly admitted. However, in May 2023, a judge denied the motion for a retrial.

The investigation into Lanez's stabbing is ongoing, and fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on his recovery and the case.
