Humaira Asghar And TikTok Fire Controversy

Humaira Asghar’s name was linked to a viral TikTok fire controversy in 2022. However, she was wrongly accused. The actual controversy involved TikToker Dolly, who was criticised for shooting a video near a burning forest. But online confusion led people to mistake Dolly for Humaira.

A Reddit user shared a photo and claimed, “Pakistani TikToker set fire to a forest for a TikTok video. Her caption was: ‘Everywhere I go fire erupts.’”

This caused many people to wrongly blame Humaira. One Reddit comment read, “If you Google ‘Humaira Asghar,’ a whole bunch of articles come up about this… I’m not really sure if she was charged with anything or not.”

Thankfully, other users cleared up the mix-up. One user clarified, “It’s actually a TikToker called Dolly,” Another user explained, “They originally mistook one for the other.”
