‘Humara Face Ranu Mandal Jaise…’ Netizens Joke As Women Shares Shocking Detail After Trying Google Gemini’s Nano Banana AI Image Trend

A woman shared a “creepy” experience after trying Google Gemini’s Nano Banana AI Image Trend, which turned her selfie into a saree portrait. Check what she said!

A viral AI trend on Instagram has shocked many users. One woman shared a “creepy” experience after trying Google Gemini’s Nano Banana model. Known as the vintage saree challenge, the trend turns selfies into artistic images of users wearing sarees against nostalgic backdrops.

Jhalak Bhawnani, who goes by @jhalakbhawnani on Instagram, shared her experience in a now-viral reel. She explained that she uploaded a photo and gave a prompt to Gemini. “I generated my image and I found something creepy… so a trend is going viral on Instagram where you upload your image on Gemini with a prompt and Gemini converts it into a saree… I tried it last night and I found something very creepy on this,” she said.

What Creeped The Woman Out

Jhalak uploaded a photo of herself in a green full-sleeve suit. Gemini transformed it into a portrait of her in a black saree with a sleeveless blouse. The AI-generated image looked attractive, but something shocked her. It showed a mole on her left arm. The mole was real but not visible in the original photo.

She said, “How Gemini knows I have mole in this part of my body? You can see this mole… this is very scary, very creepy… I am still not sure how this happened. I wanted to share this information with all of you. Please be safe… whatever you’re uploading on social media or AI platforms.”

The reel went viral, with over 43 lakh views and more than 2,77,000 shares by Monday afternoon. Many users raised privacy concerns. One person commented, “Gemini is Google’s. All your photos on your Gmail-photos-drive can be read by Google and all your social media posts are also already available in database.”

Another joked, “Idhar humara face Ranu Mandal jaise generate ho raha hai, aur udhar AI til spot bana raha hai.”

A third user said, “Best option is to dress up in a saree and click some nice candid pictures yourself.”

One more commented, “Yeh gemini mera muh nhi bana rha h sahi se aur ldkiyo ka til bhi bana de rha h.”

Why You Should Be Cautious With Nano Banana AI Image Trend

The Nano Banana AI Image Trend allows users to edit images, create 3D figurines, and make nostalgic visuals like Polaroids. While it is fun and creative, experts warn about risks. Uploading personal photos may expose sensitive data, including location or metadata. Scammers could misuse the tool for identity theft, fake IDs, deepfakes, or misinformation.

Ethically and legally, using images of celebrities or copyrighted content without permission could cause problems. Psychologically, excessive use may affect mental health and blur the line between real and AI-generated content.

Experts suggest using non-personal photos, removing metadata before uploading, and reading privacy policies carefully. While the Nano Banana trend is exciting, users should prioritise privacy and safety over following viral trends.
