“I Have Nothing to Hide” Ranveer Singh Breaks Silence on Industry Ban Rumours Post Don 3 Exit

FWICE banned Ranveer Singh after he exited Don 3 weeks before the shoot. Farhan Akhtar claims Rs 45 crore in losses. Ranveer's team issued a dignified non-answer — no apology, no explanation, just silence repackaged as grace. The ban stays until he formally engages.

Ranveer Singh: Fresh off the global success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Ranveer Singh found himself at the centre of one of Bollywood’s most public professional disputes in years — accused of walking away from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 just three weeks before the production unit was scheduled to depart for the shoot.

Rs 45 Crore and 200 Workers Left Stranded

Farhan Akhtar and producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment sat before FWICE in a two-hour session — Ritesh in person, Farhan joining remotely from London. Their claim was stark: roughly Rs 45 crore in pre-production expenses, fully audited, covering hotel bookings, location reservations, and travel arrangements for over 200 crew members. Farhan had formally filed his complaint with the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association on April 11, 2026. FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit confirmed Ranveer had ignored multiple reminders to appear before the body — prompting the Non-Cooperation Directive that now bars him from working with any FWICE-affiliated professionals.

The Statement That Said Everything and Nothing

Ranveer’s spokesperson finally responded. The actor, they said, holds the highest regard for the film fraternity, has chosen silence because professional matters are best handled with dignity and maturity, never felt the need to respond to speculation, and wishes the Don franchise continued success. What the statement did not include: any explanation for the exit, any acknowledgement of the FWICE directive, or any mention of the Rs 45 crore claim. Grace, delivered in writing, with no actual answers attached.

Where Things Stand

The Non-Cooperation Directive stays active until Ranveer engages formally with FWICE. Don 3 sits in casting chaos — Kiara Advani has reportedly exited too, while rumours about Hrithik Roshan and even Farhan himself stepping in as the lead have circulated and been denied. Ranveer moves ahead with Pralay, his upcoming zombie thriller and debut production under Maa Kasam Films.
