India in drivers seat! Set to Host 71st Miss World Pageant After Nearly Three Decades!

Miss World Pageant is a top-rated award in the field of cinema and glamour. Many actresses worldwide compete yearly to participate in this competition to become the Miss World. In the list of Miss Worlds, many Indian names made the country proud by showing their beauty and glamour in these competitions throughout the years. But this is the time to get excited for Indian fans as well because the 71^st Miss World Pageant Award is coming to India.

India will host the Miss World Pageant Award after nearly three decades

India is about to host the Miss World Pageant Awards after a wait of nearly three decades which means 28 years. The official account of Miss World shared the information on their Twitter (now known as X) account. The pageant was last conducted in Bengaluru in 1996. In 1966, Reita Faria Powell became the first Indian woman to win the title of Miss World.

In the post, the account included the hashtags #MissWorldIndia #BeautyWithAPurpose to announce the event. The caption reads, “Chairman of Miss World, Julia Morley CBE stated "Excitement fills the air as we proudly announce India as the host country for Miss World. A celebration of beauty, diversity, and empowerment awaits. Get ready for a spectacular journey!”

Miss World Winners from India

Diana Hayden won the Miss World title in 1997, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won in 1994. In 1999, Yukta Mookhey became the fourth Miss World from India, and in 2000, Priyanka Chopra Jonas became victorious. In 2017, Manushi Chhillar won the title of Miss World. After the competition, Poland's Karolina Bielawska will be crowned the next Miss World.
