Shriya Lenka: Sriya Lenka, the first K-pop star in India, shared behind-the-scenes images from her debut performance there with fellow band members Fatou, Gabi, and brand-new addition NVee. On January 11, the performance was held at the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2023 in Odisha. Notably, Sriya is from the state of Odisha. The K-pop superstar was ecstatic and honoured to perform there with her band. Sriya also teach her band members dance on the song ‘Desi Girl.’

Sriya Met Disha Patani
Sriya Lenka also met Disha Patani, an actress, during the event. In the backstage area, the two chatted and posed for multiple photos. “Look who is here. One of my favorite actresses is Disha Patani. You are such a beautiful soul. So nice to meet you di,” Lenka said as she posted pictures of her unique encounter with Disha. Disha Patani praised the K-pop star as well. The Baaghi 2 star wrote, “You are beautiful.”
About Sriya Lenka
Sriya Lenka, an Odisha native, first heard K-pop when she was just 12 years old, and her love for Korean art and music only grew with time. She performed a YouTube audition in May 2022 to join the band Blackswan after Hyeme, the band’s senior member, left the group in November 2020. Lenka and Gabriela, a 19-year-old Brazilian native, were chosen to join the group as the newest members during the final training round in Seoul. Lenka and Gabriela Dalcin were selected from 4,000 applications during a YouTube audition held by a Blackswan-affiliated entertainment company.
