RRR: The International Press Academy has recognised Bhavin Rabari, the young star of the blockbuster RRR and India's official Oscar entry, Chhello Show. Over the weekend, the Independent Press Association of America announced the recipients of its 27th Annual Satellite Awards in Motion Picture and Television. The Breakthrough Performance Award went to Bhavin Rabari, and the Honorary Satellite Award went to SS Rajamouli's historical drama RRR.
Chhello Show, a Gujarati movie directed by Pan Nalin, takes place in a small, isolated village in Saurashtra. It tells the tale of Ramari, a nine-year-old boy who, by paying his way into a dilapidated movie theatre and spending a summer viewing films from the projection booth, begins a lifelong love affair with cinema. Rabari expressed his desire to continue winning and give India reason to be proud.
"I am overjoyed and would like to thank Dheer Bhai and Nalin Sir for the chance with this movie. In a statement, the 13-year-old actor added, "I hope we can make India Proud, win many more similar accolades, and bring home the Oscar. The affection the movie and Bhavin have been receiving is humbling, according to Nalin. Because it honours his dedication at such a young age, this medal is truly unique.
