Pakistani actress Mahira Khan recently addressed the “weirdest rumor” circulating about her – that she’s pregnant! In a candid interview on Mashion’s YouTube channel, Mahira cleared the air and also revealed some interesting tidbits about her relationship with husband Salim Karim.
Mahira Khan Debunks Pregnancy Rumors
When asked about the bizarre rumors, Mahira took it in stride. “Well, it’s not that weird, it’s just a rumor,” she said. “I honestly don’t know where it came from. Maybe it’s because I’ve gained a little weight recently,” she admitted jokingly.
However, the rumor mill didn’t stop there. Apparently, the whispers also suggested Mahira had opted out of a Netflix series and a major film project due to the supposed pregnancy. “Those are absolutely untrue as well,” she clarified.
A Glimpse into Mahira’s Married Life
The interview took a more personal turn when Mahira was asked about her husband Salim. With a smile, she playfully responded, “Do I really have to answer that?” But gamely obliged nonetheless.
She revealed a minor pet peeve: “Salim isn’t very expressive,” she said. “Although, I tolerate it,” she added with a laugh. She then elaborated on a contrasting preference, “For instance, I enjoy peace and quiet in the mornings, while Salim prefers to have music playing right after waking up. I, on the other hand, would much rather listen to the birds chirping.”
Despite these minor differences, Mahira expressed appreciation for her husband’s understanding. “Thankfully, Salim tolerates my love for solitary breakfasts,” she said with a grin.

This isn’t the first time Mahira has addressed the pregnancy rumors. Earlier, speaking to The Express Tribune, she firmly stated, “I’m not pregnant, and I haven’t left the Netflix series.”

Mahira Khan tied the knot with her longtime beau, Salim Karim, a businessman and CEO of Pakistani telecom company Simpaisa, in October 2023. This is Mahira’s second marriage. Her first marriage to Ali Askari in 2007 ended in separation in 2015. They have a son, Azlaan, who is 13 years old.
