Priyanka Chopra and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj recently shared a warm exchange on social media, reminding fans of their memorable collaboration in Kaminey. While Vishal playfully asked if Priyanka was still upset with him, the actress replied in the sweetest way, brushing off any old differences.

On Monday (yesterday), Priyanka posted a heartfelt throwback on Instagram, celebrating 15 years of Kaminey. The 2009 film, starring Shahid Kapoor and directed by Vishal, is still remembered as one of her career milestones. Priyanka shared pictures from the sets and wrote a detailed note about playing her character, Sweety Bhope.
Vishal soon responded by reposting her note. Expressing how much he missed those days, he wrote: “Ask me how much I miss those days. You have been one of the finest collaborations of my career. Remember one day, when you got angry, I handwrote a poem on a napkin and sent it to manaoo (to mend things with you) you.”
He even quoted lines from his poetry, ending with the teasing question, “Kya ab bhi naraaz ho tum?” (Are you still upset with me?).
Priyanka laughed it off and replied, “Hahaha, aapse kaun naraaz reh sakta hai? Aaiye milne” (Who can stay upset with you? Come, let’s meet). Their exchange left fans delighted, with many praising the bond they still share.
In her post, Priyanka recalled how she first bagged the role. At that time, she was filming Dostana in Miami when Vishal reached out. She admitted she was surprised, as she thought her “commercial” image did not match his filmmaking style.
She wrote about how Vishal narrated the story to her in person. He convinced her that the part would grow beyond the eight scenes initially planned. He told her, “Trust me,” and she did. Priyanka also revealed that Vishal promised to create something even bigger for her later, which eventually became their next project together, 7 Khoon Maaf.
Calling Kaminey a turning point in her career, Priyanka said she was “just greedy to work with him” and never regretted the decision.
