Ranveer Singh may soon be stepping into the world of horror-comedy. After the massive success of Stree, Maddock Films has been expanding its Horror-Comedy Universe (MHCU), and buzz now suggests that Ranveer is all set to be part of this spooky franchise.
The MHCU already features stars like Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ayushmann Khurrana. As per a latest report by Mid-Day, Ranveer recently met with Dinesh Vijan at Maddock’s office to discuss joining the next chapter of the franchise. The makers reportedly want a new energy in the series, and Ranveer is excited to explore the genre. Talks are ongoing, and the paperwork may be finalised soon.
Ranveer Singh To Lead Avengers-Style Horror-Comedy Crossover?
The same report hints at something bigger, like a possible mega crossover in the MHCU, similar to the Avengers films. If all goes as planned, Ranveer could be at the centre of it.
The project is expected to begin in early 2026. Ranveer is currently wrapping up Dhurandhar and has already committed dates for Don 3.
Ranveer Was Recently Spotted Outside Maddock Office
For the unversed, Ranveer Singh was spotted leaving Maddock Films’ office last week. Dressed casually in a mask and cap, he kept a low profile and avoided the paparazzi. In a video shared online, he was seen heading straight to his car without acknowledging anyone, sparking more curiosity.
If this deal gets sealed, it’ll mark Ranveer’s first entry into the horror-comedy genre. Known for his energy-packed performances, this will be a fresh change of pace for the actor.
His last film was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023, and fans have been waiting to see him in a full-fledged role since then. He’s currently busy with Dhurandhar, which stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. He’ll also headline Don 3 next.
So far, neither Ranveer Singh nor Maddock Films has confirmed the news officially.
