Isha Koppikar Narang: Many of the Hindu festivals are related to great epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata. Dussehra is one of the main ones. The festival is a tribute to the victory of Ram over Ravan. It is called as triumph of virtue over sin or immorality. Each Hindu household eagerly waits for this festival and takes the opportunity to redecorate their house and celebrate it with their friends and family. 

“Dussehra gives sense of peace”

Isha Koppikar Narang, much loved and respected actress and politician shares her thoughts and feelings about the Dussehra. "The festival of Dussehra is unique in its perception and significance. It gives a sense of peace over the victory of good over evil. According to the great Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Ram killed Ravana on the tenth day that is Dussehra.  I love to celebrate Dussehra at home, with family and friends. A clean house has a healthy flow of energy, which motivates us to live a positive life. I am particular about cleanliness and celebrate Dussehra by decorating my home in a traditional way and if possible, go and watch Ravan Dehen with my daughter."
