The Nishanchi director reacted to trolls who keep calling him a “nashedi” and “ganjedi”. This time, he decided to reply with humour and honesty.

Anurag was chatting with Digital Commentary in a promo video. He spoke about how people judge him online. For years, many users have labelled him a drug addict. But according to him, it has nothing to do with behaviour. It is all because of his eyes.
He said, “Meri aankehin baadi baadi hai na, saari problem iski wajha se hai, iski wajah se hi log mujhe ganjedi aur nashedi patani kya kay bolte hai. Ab ye meri galti thodi na hai ki main inn aankhon ke saath paida hua hoon.”
He laughed about it and made it clear that these comments do not affect him anymore. He even finds them funny at times.
Anurag also reacted to another regular criticism. Many people say he does not deliver box office hits. They often compare him with commercial filmmakers. But he had a sharp reply.
He said, “Meri film ne ek ticket bhi nahi bhecha tabhi unka nuksaan jo hai na saal ki 80% films jo flop hoti hai usse kum hai.”
Director On Why He “Hates” Wasseypur Tag
A surprising moment came when he spoke about Gangs of Wasseypur. Fans love the film and see it as a cult classic. But Anurag feels different.
He said, “Mujhe Wasseypur se sakht nafrat hai. Jabhi koi aadmi mujhe bolta hai na Wasseypur wale toh mera mann karta hai joota nikal ke maroon.” Yes, he “hates” being known only for that film. The constant Wasseypur tag clearly annoys him. He wants people to see his work beyond that one title.

There is also a fresh rumour making headlines. A Reddit post claims that Anurag may soon work with Salman Khan. The film is said to be a “dark grounded action cop thriller”. The post also suggests that Bobby Deol is helping both sides connect.
