Titanic, the legendary film made by acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. On the 25th anniversary of the film, the makers plan a major celebration with the re-release of the Leonardo DiCaprio-Kate Winslet starrer on February 10, Friday. Ahead of the festivities, filmmaker James Cameron is finally preparing to put an end to the argument about Titanic’s conclusion scenes, which suggest Rose could’ve saved Jack, with a new experiment.

James Cameron will recreate the scene with an experiment

Netizens and moviegoers have been arguing the Titanic conclusion sequence, in which Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Jack freezes to die while protecting his lady love Rose, played by Kate Winslet. Rose, according to the fans, could have easily saved Jack’s life by assisting him in fitting into the trap door alongside her. James Cameron is now preparing to put an end to the dispute with the upcoming show Titanic: 25 Years Later, which will air on National Geographic on February 5, Sunday.

The much-anticipated show’s sneak peek video, which was posted on Good Morning America’s official Twitter handle, features James Cameron, who is seen putting the fans’ worries to rest by completing the experiment himself. To replicate the climactic sequence, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker climbs inside a water tank with two stunt performers and decides whether two adults can fit together on the floating door.
