About Jatadhara

Jatadhara introduces Sonakshi Sinha in a never-before-seen avatar. She plays Dhanapisachini, a powerful supernatural spirit born from divine energy but consumed by greed and vengeance. This is Sonakshi’s Telugu debut, and her entry into the mythic-fantasy world has already created buzz. Makers revealed they invested months researching the character’s design, ensuring her look balances divinity, elegance and dark menace.

The film revolves around an ancient treasure linked to the sacred Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. The story begins with a forbidden ritual called Pisacha Bandhanam, performed to bind evil spirits and guard immense hidden wealth. The chaos begins when a greedy human accidentally awakens Dhanapisachini, unleashing forces far beyond the mortal realm.

Sudheer Babu plays a stubborn realist who refuses to believe in spirits or curses. But as supernatural events unfold, he is forced to confront ancient powers he once dismissed. What follows is an intense battle between human ego and cosmic justice, good versus dark mysticism and fate versus free will.

Jatadhara is set to release in theatres worldwide on November 7.
