The Jatadhara teaser has finally been dropped online and offers the first look at a world filled with mythology, mystery, and intense drama. Released on August 8, it introduces Sudheer Babu as a fierce warrior and Sonakshi Sinha in a never-seen-before role as the main villain.

What’s In Jatadhara Teaser?

Jatadhara teaser opens with a powerful contrast. Sudheer Babu’s character is “born from sacrifice”, while Sonakshi’s is “darkness created by greed”. The actress plays Dhanapisachini (a demonic goddess) in her Telugu debut film. Dressed in elaborate ornaments with flowing hair, she brings both menace and intrigue to the screen.

A spiritual touch comes towards the end of the teaser with the symbolic presence of Lord Shiva, hinting at the deeper mythological elements in the story.

Prabhas Launches Jatadhara Teaser

Pan-India star Prabhas unveiled the teaser online to raise the hype surrounding the project. Sharing it on his Instagram story, he wrote, “Here’s wishing Sudheer Babu and the whole Jatadhara team all the best. Teaser looks powerful.”

From the first glance, the film appears to follow a classic good versus evil setup, but with rich mythological themes and striking visuals.

Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara is a bilingual supernatural thriller. It combines high-end VFX, AI-enhanced visuals, and detailed sound design to create a larger-than-life atmosphere.

Sudheer Babu has undergone a noticeable transformation for the role, delivering an intense warrior presence. On the other side, Sonakshi’s portrayal of the goddess of greed adds a chilling supernatural element.

More About The Film

The film is said to take inspiration from the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, weaving myths and mystical powers into its plot.

Jatadhara was announced in August 2024 with a first-look poster that teased a battle between mortal and mythical forces. Shooting began in February 2025, and Sonakshi completed her scenes by May.

The cast also includes Bigg Boss 18’s Shilpa Shirodkar in a key role. The film is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal, and Nikhil Nanda, with co-producers Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora. It is backed by Zee Studios and Ess Kay Gee Entertainment, with Divya Vijay as creative producer.

The release date has not been announced yet and may be unveiled with the next asset.
