The weekend box office has turned into a clash between two very different films – the courtroom comedy Jolly LLB 3 and Anurag Kashyap’s crime drama Nishaanchi. Akshay Kumar’s film is growing fast, while Kashyap’s new release is struggling badly in its first two days.
Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection Day 2
Jolly LLB 3 opened on Friday with Rs 12.75 crore, which was decent but lower than Jolly LLB 2. On Saturday, the film picked up strong and collected Rs 20 crore, showing a jump of nearly 57 percent. This took its two-day total to Rs 32.75 crore. The Saturday numbers were also higher than the second-day earnings of the Jolly LLB 2 (which made Rs 17.31 crore).
If this pace continues, the film is likely to cross Rs 50 crore by Sunday. Reports suggest the Hindi occupancy on Saturday was 23.02 percent, with afternoon shows pulling the most crowd. If the film shows another big jump today (Sunday), it will surpass the second part’s earnings and emerge as a successful threequel.

Nishaanchi Box Office Collection Day 2
Talking about Nishaanchi, it has not managed to click with audiences. Shockingly, it couldn’t even Rs 1 cr in two days, which is highly disappointing and an indication of a disastrous end.
The film opened poorly with only Rs 0.25 crore on Friday and collected Rs 0.30 crore on Saturday. Its two-day total stands at just Rs 0.55 crore. Despite pre-release buzz, the slow growth shows that the film is struggling to find viewers, especially when compared to the big success of Jolly LLB 3.
