The box office this week is showing a clear contrast. On one side, Jolly LLB 3 starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi is doing well with satisfactory weekday numbers. On the other, Anurag Kashyap’s gangster drama Nishaanchi is struggling, with collections at very low levels within just five days.
Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection Day 5
Jolly LLB 3 released on Friday with a solid opening of Rs 12.5 crore. Thanks to strong word of mouth, the film jumped to ₹20 crore on Saturday and Rs 21 crore on Sunday. The weekend numbers showed that audiences enjoyed the courtroom comedy, giving it a strong base for weekdays.
Monday brought a drop, with the film collecting Rs 5.5 crore. The fall looked sharper because of Navratri and garba nights, which pulled audiences away from theatres. Still, compared to other films released in a similar slot, it has managed to hold up well.
Tuesday brought some relief as the film benefitted from discounted ticket prices in many areas. It earned Rs 6.5 crore on day 5. This slight jump showed that the film continues to draw viewers even during festive distractions. With this, the total collection of Jolly LLB 3 stands at Rs 65.50 crore in five days. While tougher weeks lie ahead, the film has already proved it has strong audience support.

Nishaanchi Box Office Collection Day 5
In contrast, Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi has failed to connect with audiences. The film opened at only Rs 0.25 crore on Friday. It rose slightly to Rs 0.40 crore on Saturday, but the momentum ended quickly. Sunday collections fell to Rs 0.28 crore, followed by a sharper drop to Rs 0.12 crore on Monday.
Tuesday was worse, with early estimates suggesting only Rs 0.05 crore. After five days, the total is just Rs 1.1 crore. For an Anurag Kashyap film, and especially for Aaishvary Thackeray’s debut, the numbers are very poor. Trade experts have already called it one of the biggest disasters of 2025.

Talking about the film’s poor performance, Kashyap told India Forums, “I’m very clear that I want to make cinema I believe in. Honestly, I want to support cinema that I love and believe in. Money recovery will happen over a period of time. I’m not here to break the box office records of Pushpa or Animal or whichever is the next big hit. That’s not why I’m making films.”
