Jr NTR bags War 2; to lock horns with Hrithik Roshan in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘action spectacle’

Jr NTR bags War 2: The Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War was a blockbuster. It had an open ending and we all expected a sequel. Ayan Mukerji, who is basking in the glory of Brahmastra’s stupendous success, has been brought on board to direct the sequel.

And now we come to know that Jr NTR has also come on board for the massive spy thriller. According to our information, he will be playing the main antagonist opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film.

Fierce showdown in War 2

A trade source said, “NTR Jr is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2. It’s going to be epic. Their battle of wits and their fierce showdown will be an action spectacle to remember on the big screen. This move by Aditya Chopra enables War 2 to have the widest audience appeal for a Hindi film and it also widens the box office potential of the film. South India should come alive and connect at a more emotional level with the film because of the presence of their beloved superstar.”

The film will go on floors by the end of this year.

NTR Jr. is undoubtedly one of the most respected and followed stars from South India. He is currently riding on a global wave of popularity with the Oscar-winning RRR.

True blue pan-India film

The film is billed as a true blue pan-India outing with the coming together of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

YRF’s ambitious spy universe, which kicked off with Shah Rukh Khan’s global hit Pathaan, is dreaming big now. It has in the pipeline films like Tiger 3, headlined by Salman Khan, War 2 and the Tiger v/s Pathaan film, which would feature the epic clash of Salman and Shah Rukh.

War which also featured Tiger Shroff, released in 2019. The film was directed by Siddharth Anand, who later directed Pathaan for YRF.
