Vikas Sethi: Indian Television actor, Vikas Sethi, popular for his roles in daily soaps like Sasural Simar Ka, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi died of Cardiac Arrest. The actor also played a significant role in Karan Johar‘s legendary blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. The K3G actor’s sudden demise due to cardiac arrest is raising major concerns in the industry. Here are the possible reasons for this problem and what precautions one can take.
Vikas Sethi Died of Cardiac Arrest, What is it?
Vikas Sethi popularly recognised as Prem Basu from Kasautii Zindagii Kay died due to Cardiac Arrest in Nashik. The actor was 48 years old. According to his wife, Vikas was fast asleep when he experienced the cardiac arrest. Vikas and his wife Jhanvi visited their mother’s house in Nashik for a family function. The actor was not fit and was vomiting, he refused to visit the hospital, so they called the doctor home. In his sleep, the actor suffered a heart problem and breathed his last on Sunday.
This is not the first time an actor has died because of this heart problem. Before Vikas Sethi, famous actor and Bigg Boss 13 winner Siddharth Shukla also experienced Heart Attack at the age of 40 and died. Now, what concerns everyone is what is Cardiac Arrest and why is it being seen so commonly.
When there is a sudden loss of heart functions, breathing and consciousness, it is a symbol of Cardiac Arrest. It is common and more than a million cases are recorded every year in India.
What’s causing Cardiac Arrest?
There are many reasons for irregular heart rhythms aka arrhythmias that causes Cardiac Arrest. Some activities that trigger this heart issue include binge drinking, excessive physical exertion it also includes heavy sports activities, recent use of cocaine, amphetamines or marijuana and drinking too much coffee. Influenza or severe emotional stresses prior in the month can also cause this heart problem. Out of all these, doing rigorous physical activities and drinking excessive alcohol are two of the main reasons for Cardiac Arrest. Apart from this, if people are having coronary heart problems then the risk for Cardiac arrest increases by a significant amount.
Can One Prevent Cardiac Arrest?
One of the major causes of Cardiac Arrest is coronary heart disease and to prevent it, one has to maintain a healthy heart. To do so, one should not smoke, eating healthy food should be a top priority and being physically active in a balanced manner is also compulsory. Take nutritive diets and maintain a schedule to stay healthy for a longer time.
