Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj: Naatu Naatu singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj were on cloud nine when the track from RRR won Oscars 2023 in the Best Song category. Before the awards were announced, the singers took over the stage with their performance to the viral song. Prem Rakshith had choreographed the song.
On the big day, the trio of Kaala , Rahul and Prem bumped into Rihanna, who performed ‘Lift Me Up’ at the award ceremony. All three had a fan-girl moment as they spent some quality time with the singer. They shared the moment with ‘Queen’ Rihanna on their respective social media pages.

Naatu Naatu made history by winning the Oscars for Best Original Song. The RRR track became the first-ever Indian song to achieve this honour. Congratulations started pouring in the moment the award was announced.
Before the award was announced on March 12, Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj gave a live performance on Naatu Naatu and made the entire world sit up and take notice of them. Backstage the two accompanied by choreographer Prem Rakshith, met Rihanna. They had lot of funand had their own fan girl moment as they exchanged notes with her.
Bhairava took to Twitter and wrote, “I was short of words when this happened. An artist I always looked up to, and admired deeply! My inspiration, The queen @rihanna! Wanted to tell her how much I love ‘Stay’ and that I must’ve listened to it a million times. This memory is going to ‘stay’ in my heart forever. We were literally spellbound when she performed last night! UNBELIEVABLE! (sic).”

Rahul Sipligunj shared a picture with Rihanna on Instagram and called it a ‘dream come true moment.’ He captioned the post, “Wooow I have met the most amazing lady with a very beautiful heart ?? Still in shock by seeing your humbleness #rihana @badgalriri and how down to earth you are! Thank you so much for calling and appreciating for the performance and #oscarwinning. It’s an emotional moment for me!! Can’t keep calm #mydreamcometrue (sic).”

Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravaani, is a celebratory song from SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Faturing Jr NTR and Ram Charan, the track became a global rage in no time. People all over the world danced to the number in the theatres and the song won millions of views on YouTube and Tik Tok.
The song also won the Golden Globes 2023 in the Best Original Song category.
