Kamaal R Khan: On September 8, the son of film critic Kamaal R. Khan posted a need for assistance on his father’s Twitter account, claiming that his father’s life was in danger. Interestingly, KRK was granted bail today (September 8, Thursday). For his contentious tweets on Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor in 2020, he was detained on August 29.

Faisal’s allegation on authorities
Faisal Kamaal said in a Tweet on September 8 (Thursday) that his father had been subjected to torture in the Mumbai jail where he was being held. KRK’s son claimed that his father’s life was in danger and asked Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis for assistance.

Notably, Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) left the Thane jail today after being detained for nine days and having his bail approved by the court. A magistrate court in Mumbai’s Borivali granted him bail on September 7 in the case of the offensive tweets.
Why was Kamaal R Khan Arrested?
In response to his tweets about Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, KRK was detained on August 29. Rahul Kanal, a member of the Yuva Sena, filed a complaint in April 2020. According to accounts, KRK was detained soon after touching down at the Mumbai airport.
