Kangana Ranaut: Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut responded to the controversy surrounding an offensive social media post that Congress leader Supriya Shrinate had tweeted about her on Tuesday, stating that she would speak with BJP President JP Nadda in Delhi about the next steps to be taken in this regard.
Meeting with JP Nadda
The BJP’s candidate for the Lok Sabha election, Mandi, in Himachal Pradesh, stated, “We have responded to the controversy around the offensive post. I am gonna meet with JP Nadda, the chief of the BJP, in Delhi. will have the opportunity to discuss the issue after meeting with him.”
She said that at her meeting with Nadda, she would talk about whether she needed to file a lawsuit against the Congresswoman Supriya Shrinate. She went on to say that Shrinate’s article had affected the people of Mandi. “Mandi is called chota-Kashi. People of Mandi are hurt because of this derogatory remark,” She said.
Supriya Shrinate’s Explanation
Just one day after the BJP fielded Kangana Ranaut from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, a hostile Instagram post with a picture of the actress in skimpy clothing along with a disparaging message was removed.
Subsequently, Supriya Shrinate stated that the social media post was created by an individual who has access to her Instagram and Facebook accounts. She also placed the responsibility on X for the misuse of her name by a parody account. BJP leaders and other politicians, however, sharply criticised Shrinate for his clarification. In response to the disparaging social media remark, Ranaut said, “Every woman deserves her dignity.”
