Kangana Ranaut turns director for film based on Indira Gandhi

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to social media on Wednesday to share with her fans that she will be donning director’s cap for her next project Emergency, based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Talking about Emergency, Kangana wrote on Koo, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”

On Wednesday, Kangana shared a couple of videos on Instagram Story where she is seen going through a body scan process as part of her preparation for the role in the office of her production house, Manikarnika Films.

“Guess what is going on in Manikaran Films? Body scan for film Emergency, time to get into Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Ji’s skin,” the actress shared on her Instagram story.

Besides Emergency, Kangana also has Thalaivi, Tejas and Dhaakad in her pipeline.
