Kannada actor Darshan: Darshan was hit by a slipper while promoting his upcoming film Kranti in Hosapete. At the event, which took place on Sunday evening, hundreds of fans gathered to launch a song from the film. A viral video shows the Kannada actor hit by a slip by an unidentified person in the crowd. The incident comes day after Darshan made a distasteful comment related to 'goddess of luck'.

Cops were seen around Darshan immediately after the attack on the actor, as seen in a viral video that has gone viral on the internet. Darshan said, "It is not your mistake brother, no problem," after the slipper hit his shoulder, and tried to calm down his irate fans in the crowd. The actor immediately left the scene, escorted by police. Darshan was in Hosapete to promote a song from his upcoming film "Kranti," which is set to be released on January 26. He also decorated the town's statue of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar. V Harikrishna directed the film. Rachita Ram plays Darshan's co-star in this film. Watch the viral video below:

Shiva Rajkumar released a video message, condemning the act. He also asked people to refrain from such activities.

Darshan hit for sexist comment

In one of his recent interviews, Kannada actor Darshan made a distasteful comment on 'Goddess of Luck'. He said, "Goddess of Luck doesn't knock on the door always. When she knocks, grab her, drag her into your bedroom and strip her naked. If you give her clothes, she will go out."
