He gently picked up Simar’s saree pallu and placed it neatly behind her so she would not feel awkward on camera. The moment was subtle but thoughtful. Amitabh Bachchan noticed it immediately and decided to tease Agastya on national television.
Big B said, “Agastya ji, humko bahut achha laga ki aapne jis tarah, Simar ka jo pallu latak raha tha, voh uthaakar ke aapne bade pyaar se peeche rakh diya. Iske liye hum aapko badhai dete hain. zindagi main pehli baar humne aise karte hue dekha hai. In the same episode, Amitabh Bachchan turned his attention to Simar Bhatia, who was appearing on Kaun Banega Crorepati for the first time. He asked her how she was feeling and encouraged her to speak freely, without worrying about any formality.
Simar replied, “I am feeling really nice seeing the way you are talking to Agastya. He had scared me. He told me that I have to maintain a decorum in front of you.”
Amitabh immediately reassured her and said, “Koi decorum- vecorum kuch nahi. You do whatever you wish like. Be comfortable. Don’t take stress.”
