It’s all thanks to KBC’s most charming host Amitabh Bachchan. After Jaskaran, the iconic game show was about to get its second crorepati of season 15. However, the contestant failed to answer the ‘₹1 crore’ question about the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Find out if you know the answer to this question.

KBC 15 contestant quits at ₹1 crore question

The most beloved game show in Indian cinema is currently running its 15th season. It was about to announce its second crorepati, but the contestant just didn’t have any other choice than to quit. Shubham Gangrade started off the show at episode 22. His beginning was a little clumsy as he used up his first lifeline on the second question itself worth ₹3000. This even shocked the host Amitabh Bachchan as he was amazed to learn that the contestant didn’t know what a harmonium was.

However, Shubham managed fairly in the rest of the game, but he exhausted all his lifelines by the time he reached the ₹1 crore question. After winning the sum of ₹5000000, the contestant was presented with the ₹1 crore question, “What was the aircraft that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on 6th August 1945, named after?” The options that followed were: A mythical weapon, a Movie character, The pilot’s mother, The place where it was built. Shubham was left in a predicament with no lifelines at his disposal. He was confused and since there was a lot of money at stake, he decided to quit and take back ₹5000000 with him. It was later revealed that the correct answer to the ₹1 crore question was option C: ‘The pilot’s mother.’
