Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 (KBC 17) is bringing a patriotic special for Independence Day. In a new promo, Amitabh Bachchan is seen hosting an inspiring episode with officers from the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy.
The episode will feature Col Sofiya Qureshi from the Indian Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Indian Air Force, and Commander Prerna Deosthalee from the Indian Navy. Together, they will reveal untold details about Operation Sindoor — a high-precision mission that showed India’s military strength and strategy.
IAF Officers Talk About Op Sindoor In KBC 17 Promo
The promo opens with Col Sofiya seated alongside Wing Commander Vyomika and Commander Prerna. Talking about the mission, Col Sofiya says, “Pakistan yeh karta chala araha hai. Toh jawab dena banta tha sir. Isiliye Operation Sindoor ko plan kiya gaya.” Her words reflect the determination behind the plan.
Wing Commander Vyomika explains the speed of the operation. She says, “Raat ko ek baj kar paanch minute se lekar dedh baje tak, pachhis minute me khel khatam kar diya.” Vyomika reveals it lasted only 25 minutes. Commander Prerna adds, “Targets were destroyed and koi bhi civilians ko koi harm nahi hua tha,” showing the accuracy and care taken to avoid civilian harm.
As the conversation moves to India’s defence strategy, Col Sofiya says, “Ye ek naya Bharat nayi soch ke saath hai.” Her statement earns applause from the audience. The promo ends with Bachchan and everyone in the studio chanting, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” filling the space with patriotic energy.”

About Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was a joint mission by the Indian Army and Air Force. It involved precision strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation was carried out as a response to the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. Around 22 civilians were killed.
The Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 (KBC 17) Independence Day special will air on August 15 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
