Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with its 17th season (KBC 17), and the buzz is already high. The first promo is out and features none other than Bigg Boss 16 fame Sumbul Touqeer Khan. She’s grabbing attention for all the right reasons, and so is Amitabh Bachchan, who returns as the host once again with his timeless charm.

KBC 17 Release Date Confirmed In New Promo Featuring Sumbul Touqeer Khan

In the newly released promo, Sumbul plays a restaurant manager who gets mocked by a group of customers. They tease her for taking time to get Manchurian, joking that she might be importing it from China. But Sumbul shuts them down smartly by stating a fact, Manchurian was actually invented in India. Her knowledge leaves them stunned. The scene cuts to Big B, who looks super impressed by her response.

The channel shared the promo and wrote, “Jahan Akal Hai Wahan Akad Hai! Isiliye aaj bhi gyaan ka dum sabse bada hai…” (Where there’s knowledge, there’s confidence. That’s why knowledge is still the greatest power.)

Abhishek Bachchan Calls Big B ‘The Boss’ 

Amitabh Bachchan also posted a heartfelt note about his return as host. He wrote, “And the prep begins the beguine… to be back to the people… to be with them in their desires to improve life and livings… the opportunity that changes lives… in an hour… my love and regard.”

Abhishek Bachchan reacted to the KBC 17 promo and said, “THE BOSS!!! He’s back!!! KBC ke saath apinment, apinment. Englis bolta hai!”

Fans couldn’t hold back their excitement. One commented, “Superb promotion.” Another said, “Hum wait kar rhe hain.” One even claimed the promo was inspired by their own story, asking for credit.

The user wrote, “Bachchan Ji if your team is inspired by my story the least we can do is give credit to it and pay for it.”

KBC has been a staple of Indian television for 25 years, and Season 17 promises to carry that legacy forward. The 16th season wrapped up earlier this year, and the new one is already under production.

Despite past rumours of Salman Khan possibly replacing Big B as the host, Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed via his blog that he’s very much a part of this season. Meanwhile, Salman will return with Bigg Boss 19, which is set to stream on JioCinema from late August.
