Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang: MBC's latest Friday-Saturday drama will star Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang.

The upcoming MBC drama "The Season of Kokdu" is a fantasy romance about a grim reaper named Kokdu who comes down to the earth every 99 years to discipline humanity. When Kokdu meets Han Han Jeol, a physician with enigmatic talents, he begins working as a visiting physician.

Writers Kang Yi Heon and Heo Jun Woo of the original crime thriller "Less Than Evil," director Baek Soo Chan of "Alice," "Into the World Again," and "Dear Fair Lady Kong Shim," and director Kim Ji Hoon of "Check Out the Event" will collaborate on the drama, building excitement for their unusual love narrative that alternates across this world and the hereafter.

Additionally, Im Soo Hyang, who has been playing a variety of characters regardless of genre, and Kim Jung Hyun, who consistently displays excellent acting abilities, will collaborate to provide the most enigmatic but romantic season ever.

Kim Jung Hyun will play Kokdu, the quirky master of the underworld. Kokdu has been cursed to guide the dead in the afterlife and eliminate the human rubbish in this world by assuming the form of Do Jin Woo, a human who resembles him, for sinning against God. The cause of Kokdu's unending agony is still a mystery, thus viewers are interested to learn if Kokdu can reverse the curse or not.

Han Gye Jeol, a physician who graduated from of the nation's worst medical school, will be portrayed by Im Soo Hyang. She only has her younger brother as family as her mother died when she was a little child. She gradually loses confidence as a result of the chilly culture that only recognizes doctors from prominent colleges. But as Do Jin Woo shows up next to her and supports her side for the first time, she experiences a turning point in her life. Im Soo Hyang's acting makeover, which will bring Han Gye Jeol to life, is much anticipated.
