Koffee with Karan 7: Gossip, controversy and Shocking revelations is something that has always been a part of Karan Johar’s Chat show. It’s not just the celebrities who come grace the couch and are judged for their statements, but most of the time it’s even the host, who is often targeted for his take on certain things and people.
In the latest episode of Koffee with Karan 7 we saw the sibling duo, that is Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor spill some beans. And it was during that episode when, Karan Johar took a dig at Urfi Javed, Hina Khan and Helly Shah.
Karan Johar disrespected Hina Khan and Helly Shah ?
So in the latest episode, we saw Karan Johar taking a dig at people who just go to the Cannes film festival and click pictures and come back. while the netizens claimed that the filmmaker is indirectly disrespecting Hina Khan and Helly Shah. (for their Cannes appearance).
During the episode, he also claimed how he only remembers Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai being part of the film festival and nobody else from our country was ‘officially’ Invited.
Also when Karan asked Sonam her opinion, if she thought Cannes had a good Indian show this year, Sonam countered by asking Karan about his opinion. Karan bluntly said that he didn’t think it was up to speed.

Karan Johar’s comment on Urfi Javed
Not just that, During one portion of the show, Karan Johar asked Sonam Kapoor about the celebrities she applauds or gets appalled by seeing their social media. Sonam, in turn, asked Karan who he was appalled by to which he replied, “I am appalled by many people who go to airports but don’t catch flights.”
He further said, “Yes, they actually go outside airports to click photographs and chat with the media but they are going nowhere.”
Meanwhile, Karan did not reveal the name of that particular celebrity. But it is quite obvious m that he was talking about Urfi Javed who recently accepted that she goes to the airport just to get photographed.

Netizens slam Karan for such comments
Karan’s comments did not go down well with a lot of individuals and slammed him for such ‘bitchy’ comments and further tagged him as a bully.
